I only use premium anodized aluminum wire, which is hypoallergenic for sensitive skin. It is very lightweight, which means it is comfortable to wear, and because of its lighter weight, I can incorporate larger stones and more interesting wire shapes into the designs. Aluminum wire is very easy care, because unlike sterling silver wire, it does not tarnish, so it retains its original shine and sparkle

Unlike gold-plated wire, 14K Gold-Filled wire is a thick sheet of 14K gold pressure-bonded with heat to a metal core. It has 100x more gold alloy than gold-plating. Like solid 14k gold, it is hypoallergenic, tarnish-resistant, and does not flake or turn colors. Gold-filled wire is actually the very best choice for wire-wrapped jewelry, as solid gold is too soft and will not hold it's shape!

Just the same as for any fine jewelry! I recommend not getting the jewelry or leather cords wet (eg with hairspray or perfume), and I take the finger rings off when washing my hands, but that's all the care you need!
